A lot of folks did a post in celebration of Friday the 13th, but I forgot it was Friday the 13th, so how about some love for the following day? It Gets bad on Friday the 13th, but it gets worse on Saturday the 14th!
Just when you thought it was safe to look at the calender again! Oh I get it...that's like a Jaws joke, funny.

I remember Saturday the 14th being so shitty. Aside from being garbage, though, the big mistake the movie made was spoofing monster movies at the height of the slasher craze - while calling itself Saturday the 14th! I think there was one movie that actually sent up the slasher genre at the time - Pandemonieum, maybe - but that was lousy, too.

ReplyDeleteWow, I'm torn beyond belief. On one hand, this looks absolutely amazing--I mean, the guy I'm assuming is the hero has a vague resemblance to Liev Shrieber if he were compacted and put into an accountant blender, which I kind of love.

Jeff: I never even thought that the movie and the title didn't go together at all! Student Bodies was a Slasher spoof and a decent one from what I have heard, though I never saw it.

Emily: I would say since you have no prior connection to this film, watch it and then review it. I would love to hear what your thoughts are as someone who didn't watch it as a kid!
