Girls Always Fall For the Bad Boy

Due to the unfortunate interruption known as work, life and now me being extremely tired and it being a little too late to do up a proper dance party (and Friday is over to top it off), there will be no FFNDP this evening. I know, it's terrible, but you'll get over it after a day or so. Vodka helps. Not to be one to simply let the night run on empty, I do have a little Freddy related video clip from that youtube place where all those youngsters be watching them hippity hoppity videos that are so popular these days.

It's a quickie about Freddy Krueger finally finding someone to love, and I don't know anything about it outside of the obvious stuff like it's animated, short and all sorts of adorable. It really follows the old adage of, if you love something, stab it, and if it comes back to you again then it was meant to be.

Enjoy.

Dumpster Diving For Gold: Freddy Krueger Stick-up

I love going to garage sales - I find them interesting and oddly fun, plus, you can find some really cool shit at them from time-to-time. My main drive is always seeing what I can find that is movie related, namely VHS tapes and maybe even some decent DVDs if I'm lucky. This past weekend brought us to a vast quantity of garage sales, with one of them being located in a parking lot with about 15-20 individual set-ups of sellers just selling their dusty lives away for a quarter.

We had looked at a ton of shit and found very little to be excited about, and I saw absolutely nothing movie wise that was worth more than a glance, which is rare as well as unfortunate. As I went in to one tent, I noticed some pretty hefty prices right off the bat. I looked at my traveling partner/lover and said: "are these dudes on crack?" only to quickly realize that most of what we were looking at was collectable stuff, much of it being old toys and an assortment of neat movie and TV memorabilia. All of this stuff was pretty awesome to look at – nothing that I would actually buy mind you but cool nonetheless.

That is when I spotted the twinkling eye of a familiar face looking back at me from his hiding spot in a far corner behind some random M*A*S*H toys. My eyes widened as he tipped his hat to me, knowing I was smitten by him from the moment our eyes met. As I reached over to pick him up, it was as if we were two lovers meeting at a train station after being separated for nearly a decade. We embraced, I squealed like a little girl, and I looked at the price - which was $8 bucks but I worked that ass for $5 – I paid the loud and wicked tan lady her cash, and off we went into the sunset…Freddy and I.

So what exactly is it that I found? It's the Freddy Krueger Stick-up, a "Horribly Authentic" toy (?) that has a suction cup making it perfect for sticking anywhere you please (no, not there!), thus the stick-up aspect. It's from 1988, which would pair it up with A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master as well as the height of Freddy's mainstream popularity.

Here are a few incredibly detailed and focused pictures I snapped so you could check out this fine piece of movie memorabilia…

Sure, it's totally cheesy, but that is totally why I love it and had to have it. Seeing something like this while journeying about garage sales is such a score, and I definitely would have paid more than the $5 dollars that I did for it. This is some serious evidence as to the power of marketing and the insane popularity of Freddy Krueger, which is what really makes this thing so great. It's the lamest toy I have ever seen, but it says a whole lot about an era where pop culture was ruled by Freddy Krueger, so I am nothing short of ecstatic to own this thing.  I think I might stick it up on my ceiling, just so I can go to sleep looking at it every night. Come to think of it, that might not be such a good idea unless I snatch some Hypnocil from Nancy's purse.

Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party! And the Nightmare Continues…Edition!

freddy1 Hello all you jumpin' and jivin' dance machines! Glad you could make it out tonight to enjoy some fine ass jams at the hottest place in town…Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party! As some of you may know, there is a brand spanking new Nightmare film making it's way into multiplexes. Of course, it is a remake, but it's still a Nightmare film and the character in this Nightmare film goes by the name Krueger – Fred Krueger. Considering this is Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party, the need to acknowledge it is kind of important, whether or not the actor is Mr. Englund.

When I started doing this segment, it was meant to be what it is now, a place where I can post great official music videos from horror/cult movies, awesome musical dance scenes from films that are of my liking, and anything that I may find fun and entertaining. Now, while the name Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party might be a catchy one (or, at least that was what I was hoping!), that catchiness is not the reason for the segments name.

freddyOut of all of the monsters, all of them, Freddy Krueger is my favorite of the bunch. He is the one that I grew up on, and while my favorite horror movie might star his rival, Michael Myers, it is Krueger that holds a massive chunk of my horror loving black heart. While some of the things I love him for are out of youth and nostalgia, he is the monster that represents everything that this segment is. I mean, look at the major amount of content I pulled from the Nightmare films for so many of these dance parties in the beginning! He was the definition of a rock star, or a rap star, or whatever style he so chose to take on.

Friday Night Dance Party!Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party was inspired by wanting to have a fun open ended place to get down and show some clips that I find worthy of our time and attention. In that same vein, it is in honor of a monster that is the one that I grew up on, the one that produced movies that, while not necessarily all great, are a part of my childhood and what shaped my young horror mind. Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party is in essence, a tribute to Fred Krueger, so whether or not this new Nightmare is going to suck…I am still happy to see Freddy making it back to the celluloid form.

I've been doing this segment almost as long as I've done this blog (which really isn't all that long) and the Nightmare inspired videos I have saved for the Dance Party are almost completely dried up. I am holding on to the few I have for special occasions and the ones I have would be in line with the Nightmare films of old, thus my reason for going with this completely insane non visual audio clip. It's called Freddy Krueger Rap and while it is about the Fred that haunted pre-remake, it is about the monster specifically, which I thought would be most fitting with the new film coming out.

Check it out, son!

There isn't much to learn about this Freddy rap, outside of it being brought to us via some dude named Jiggerbean. Whatever, it's a totally fun little rap and what Mr. Jiggerbaen says about this track on his You Tube page is, by the end of recording it, he was hammered, which is noticeable in the song and makes for a good chuckle. Drunk or not, the lyrics are hysterical and every second of it is pure gold. My favorite line is about Jason and his machete, being chopped up like spaghetti!

Anywho, I hope I didn't bore you with all the useless info I spilled all up on your monitors, but I wanted to explain my love for the character of Krueger and why he is the influence of what is a staple of Chuck Norris Ate My Baby. Hope you dug the Freddy rap and hope that new Nightmare film is decent, though, I have heard some pretty bad things…sigh.

Freddy’s Friday Night Dance Party!: Mo Drama Fo Yo Mama Edition!

freddy1

Hey bois and gurls, I have a nice little Dance Party for all you mean faced, hard steppin’, sassy dance fiends out there tonight! Best part, it’s a semi-return to familiar territory, with tonight's jam being brought to us courtesy of A Nightmare on Elm Street film! I say semi-return only because the song featured doesn’t have an official movie related music video, and if any music video doesn’t at least a little something to do with the movie, I would rather find a clip from the movie (which wasn’t happening either), or something fan made…which is the case here tonight. Whatever, clips are awesome, especially when they are clips from Nightmare movies! The song…Anything, Anything (I’ll Give You) from Dramarama!

Written by Dramarama lead singer, John Easdale, Anything, Anything (I’ll Give You) is one of many classic tracks from Renny Harlin’s entry into Freddy’s world, with 1988’s, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. While I pretty much love, or at least enjoy, many of the songs featured here at Freddy’s Friday Night Dance Party, Anything, Anything (I’ll Give You) is a fucking Awesome, Awesome (For Real) song and one of my favorites ever since I was young enough to smoke. This one is right up there with the more recent Dance Party tune, Pet Sematary from The Ramones, and that says a whole heck of a lot. An amazing song, that still rocks so hard even to this day and one that I will always listen to when I practice my yellow belt Karate while in my bedroom. Face me, Krueger.

Freddy VS. Jason 2?

Well, not quite. I did find this incredibly odd video recently and thought that you all would get a kick out of it. It's all in Spanish, but there are subs for anyone with the power of understanding. Whatever, just watch this thing...

Right?! So weird! Like I said, it's Spanish, but they refrained from swearing, so I didn't hear any familiar words. If anyone knows what the hell these dudes are saying, please, enlighten me...I can only imagine so much ya know.

With the off lip syncing, I thought I was watching a Giallo for a moment and I do Love Freddy's gold glove with exposed thumb. Also, why is Jason only wearing one glove? Or a glove at all? And why are his sleeves ripped off? Is this an alternate Jason that Freddy met at the bar from Freddy's Revenge? These are burning questions and I need some answers, now! The beat is pretty dope though.

Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party!: Bring Your Daughter to the "Slaughter" Edition!

What up daaawg?! First off, I would hate to lead you astray with the title of this post, as the song Bring Your Daughter to the Slaaaaaaaugh-ter! is in fact a song written for a Nightmare film. In fact, it was originally recorded and released by a solo Bruce Dickinson for A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, but there was never a Nightmare themed video made for the song (bummer!), and as you will find out, the title of this post is more than fitting for our jammity jammy jam this fine Friday evening! And oh boy, this is the Friday to check out the hottest club in a 2 mile radius - Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party!!! Whoop whoooo! Tonight's Dance Part-tay marks the big comeback of the one - the only - the always bony...dj SKELE-TOOOOOONE! Ladies, ladies...please, keep your shirts on! I understand your excitement about Skele-tone's return, but save it for later! *cough*preferably when we're alone*cough* You know when dj Skele-tone is here, you will be shaking that tight little rear, and it looks to be no different dear, as he has brought with him a copy of Love Kills performed by glam gods, Vinnie Vincent Invasion!! Let's get this party started!

Oh great...who invited Ricky Rachtman?! There goes all our street cred!

Love Kills was released in 1988 by the Vinnie Vincent Invasion for their second album, All Systems Go, but more notably appeared on the soundtrack for A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. Vinnie Vincent Invasion consisted of band founder and former Kiss guitarist, Vinnie Vincent with Dana Strum on bass, Bobby Rock on drums, and after a changing of the metal god guard, Mark Slaughter (get it now?!) belting the vocals. I am very familiar with almost every video presented here at Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party, but Love Kills has for whatever reason, completely escaped my knowledge - though, that could partially be due to the video never being featured on any of the DVD releases.

I do dig this solid little rock ballad and the video is great too, being filled with some clips from the film intertwined with the rock! Also, it appears that the band is performing in the same church where Alice and Freddy have there face off at the end of Dream Master, or more famously, the place where Freddy screamed "It's a boy!" in Dream Child. Outside of the Nightmare clips, I was extremely pumped when I saw the Headbangers Ball logo...but the star is truly the band. I love how the video starts, with Mark (that's what I call him) walking around slowly, elegantly even, with the wind flowing through his gorgeous hair…wind caused by the power of his magical voice! I really do hope you stuck it out to the end of the video - it would be a shame for you to miss the guitarist as he decides to shred whilst wearing a Freddy glove, where he then proceeds to do an "Oh stop it!" motion at the camera. It is truly menacing, yet sexy! Moreover, I did see a windmill guitar move that was not relevant to the music playing...at all, and that is exactly why it rules.

Okay, I have more than exceeded my time here tonight, so let's get back to the dancin' and romancin'! Ladies...now's the time to remove your shirts, cause I'm feeling a little frisky! And hopefully your feeling a little risky, as I am a breeding ground for STDs!! Hey...we're all about giving here at Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party!

Totally Tubular Trailers!

Hello my pretty little princesses! I got a couple of great little trailers to share with you all in this edition of Totally Tubular Trailers. I hope that you all see something that you have not yet seen, and hopefully your interest is piqued as was mine when I initially watched these trailers! Well, enough flirting...lets do this!

First up is a Thai film titled, Slice that once again brings together writer, Wisit Sasanatieng and director, Kongkiat Komesiri. Slice's story has been compared to Silence of the Lambs wherein after the murder of a government officials son, the police seek the help of an imprisoned former hit man turned informant to help them bring in a serial killer that has been mutilating the genitalia of the antagonist's male victims (YACK!). The hit man agrees to helps them, in return for his freedom of course, but there's a stiplulation - the hit man’s wife is also held hostage to ensure he does what he has promised, which is catch the murderer within a 15 day time frame. You will see some great visuals and nice looking and highly stylized color palates used in this trailer, along with a hefty dose of violence and some bloodshed. No English a be a spoken with this trailer, but as with any trailer I put up without subs or dubbing, it is well worth the watch.

Next up, and in holy crap...I can't wait for this one news, here is the teaser for Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy. I would take an educated guess and say you already have figured out the subject matter of this upcoming documentary - of course, it covers the legacy of my favorite horror franchise, A Nightmare on Elm Street! *Cue the cheers* Just in time for the Nightmare remake His Name Was Jason director, Daniel Farrands takes a "stab" at Freddy Kruger in this upcoming two disc DVD set (!!). I LOVE documentaries, and even more so when they are ones about movies...and even more so when they are covering movies as important to me as the Nightmare series. His Name Was Jason was... okay, but I really hope for much better when it comes to the man of our dreams, maybe something along the lines of the fantastic Halloween doc, 25 Years of Terror?! No release date yet on Never Sleep Again, but I would gamble that it will be out before the remake hits theaters, which is slated for April.

Our last trailer for this warm and snugly evening, belongs to yet another Thai film, the female driven action flick, Vanquisher. Vanquisher follows bad-ass female CIA agent, Genja (Sophita Sribanchean) as she becomes the victim of the very same agency that she works for, when they set her up to be assassinated. Of course you know that shit ain't gonna happen easily and this fine ass femme fatale is gonna put up one heck of a fight...all while looking fine as all hell! This trailer is filled with some of the most insane, over the top, nonstop action and it looks like it will deliver everything and anything you would want in an action film. It will be a while before we find out if it does deliver on the goods promised in this trailer, as Vanquisher opens it Thailand in November of this year, with no U.S. release date as of this time.

That about does it - hope you saw something you had not before, and even more so, I hope you enjoyed what you saw in my small collection of trailers this time around.
Laters!

Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party!: Wannabe-able to Put Up Some Posts Edition!

Hey hoes! I must apologize for my lack of love over here at Chuck Norris Ate My Baby, but with a major multi-state move, I have been without access to Internet - let alone my computer! THE HORROR!! But thanks to my pal, dj Boomer I have a quick chance to say yo, and let you all know that I will be back with the fury once the new Baby Eating lair is all set up with access to the inter-webs and all that Jazz. I see a lot of posts comments, and a few from some new Baby Eaters (!), that I will respond to as soon as I am live and direct - I didn't want anyone to think that I've lost that loving feeling or anything silly like that.

I should be up and running sometime next week, but thought it would be a commandment breaker if I weren't able to have a little dance party - just no cocaine or ecstasy at this one since my time here is so limited. This week, special guest dj Boomer brings us a little Milli Vanilli style of Freddy funk, in honor of my wannabe-ing back on the Chuck Norris Baby Eating track. Thanks for your patience, hope you all enjoy, and I'll see you soon!

Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party!: Low-Carb Edition!

Sup playas, and playarettes!! You must be new to this club, so let me give you the tour. Right there - that's where you can dance, right over there - that's another place you can dance, and over here, on my lap - well, take a guess. What'd you expect; this is Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party after all!! HOLLA!! You guys carrying anything? No?! Well, here, take these pills, they're on the house. We wanna make sure everyone has a good time!! If you start to feel a little dizzy, let me know, you can lay down in the bed up in my private suite, while I play with your sweet privates! YEAH BOYEE! Now, I hope you guys brought your D-game with you…what's D-game you ask? Well, that's your Dance Game, cause tonight, dj Skele-tone has the fattest tracks on the block! And when I say fat, I mean F-A-T, because finally, Skele-tone has brought with him - his copy of Are you ready for Freddy? as done by the infamous 80's hip-hop group, The Fat Boys! This should be one hell of a dance party, where the tunes are fat, but the ladies are mad skinny from all the blow they do! Now get out there kid, burn some calories dancing, and make sure you look good doing it!

Oh great...is that Gary Busey preaching about the lord and sobriety again? Better get security.

First of all, I thought horizontal stripes would be a no-no for a heavyset person, and vertical was the way, but whatever…I'm not here to judge. The Fat Boys consisted of Mark Morales aka "Prince Markie Dee" - Damon Wimbley aka "Kool Rock-Ski" - and The Human Beat Box himself, Darren Robinson aka "Buff Love." Buff Love might be the greatest name in Hip-Hop history...the name says it all! Are You Ready For Freddy? was written for 1988's A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, and also appeared on 1997’s best of album - All Meat: No Filler. Even though I love Dream Warriors, I always liked this one just a little bit more. It's such a fun video and song, and how great is it that Freddy raps? And to top it off, his skills are garbage! Not that I don't appreciate lyrics like..."You see my name is Freddy - and I'm here to say - I'll wrap you up - and take you away! And if you feel like your tired - and ready for bed - Don't fall asleep - or you'll wake up dead!" Watch out now, he's like the next Ja Rule, but instead, he could be Claw Rule! Also, while it's a little embarrassing to admit, I always liked the songs chorus as sung by whoever the girl is, I mean, there isn't a female in The Fat Boys - so I like to think she's a ghost! "Watch out - or Freddy - will bust your heart!" Right on sister!

Hope you guys enjoyed this evenings Dance Party! I know I did, and I know, that you know, that I know, that you know, that I want you. To keep on dancin'!!!! Yo Skele-tone! Bring that beat back, son!! This party ain't over yet - or at least not until I can get one of these ladies drunk enough to come up to the suite with me. I wonder if that ghost chick can get wasted or not?

Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party!: Uncle Phil Edition!

Wubba wubba wubba! Hey there you dancing’ hep cats, it is a pleasure to see you back with us this Friday for another all night dance par-tay, at the club that is better than at least seven STD‘s…it‘s Freddy’s Friday Night Dance Party!! We got a bubble machine, that doesn’t blow, and the Moet is gonna straight up be flowin’ all night, right on through till it‘s time for you to get ready for work in the morning! YEAAHHHHH!!!

Always bringin’ the sickest beats, to move yo feet’s, dj Skele-tone rushed back from a week spinnin’ hot beats in Europe just to get this party started correct! On the hip-hop docket tonight, dj Skele-tone has something that will blow your mind! He will be playing DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince’s hip-hop horror classic, A Nightmare on My Street! See below for an explanation as to the strange video choice…we wouldn’t want you to think the guy that drives the El Camino slipped something into your drink again.

Oh shit!! Carlton’s here?! He always brings da funk!

Released in 1988 and written by Pete Q. Harris, Will Smith, and Jeffrey Townes (best known as DJ Jazzy Jeff) and featured on the album “He‘s the DJ, I‘m the Rapper,” A Nightmare on My Street was created to coincide with A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. However, some behind closed doors business gone bad (involving other film properties), resulted in a rift between New Line Cinema and the hip-hop duo, resulting in the song being denounced by New Line as having any connection to the Nightmare property. It was to the point that all pressings of the single and the album had a disclaimer stating that the song had no affiliation with the series. There was even a video that was made for the song, and I think I remember seeing it, but it is rumored that it was aired either just a few times, or not at all. Whether it played at all or not, New Line buried the video for no one to ever see again, and thus, the still very cool It‘s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown hybrid. Thought you all would enjoy that choice, as I love it! I searched pretty long and hard (ahem) for the actual video, well, like more than ten minutes at least, but no luck finding it. If there were one thing that could slay Freddy Krueger though, it would be that shrill bitch, Lucy, not the star of Wild Wild West.

Let’s get back to the business at hand. OHHHHH...MAN! This party is so off the chain! Might be the Moet talkin’, but I’m feeling like I wanna do a little more dancing’ tonight. In the bedroom. We are movin’ this party to my pants!!! Hey, what is a great way to keep from getting pregnant, while still getting laid? Use a Wubba wubba wubba!

Freddy's Friday Night Dance Party!: Dream Warriors Edition

Hey girl hay! You just strolled into the hottest night club this side of the other hottest night club...Freddy's Friday Night Dance Par-tay! Eeoww!

Tonight's dance party, features the sick sounds of dj Skele-tone, and he has brought with him his copy of Dokken's Dream Warriors! Oh snappp! "Ain't gonna dance no more?!" Yeah right..this party is just getting started!

In 1987, Dokken members George Lynch and Jeff Pilson wrote the metal classic Dream Warriors for the film, A Nightmare on Elm Street III: Dream Warriors. A song that I have always loved, with it's awesome anthem that was as simple as "Dream Warriors...ain't gonna dream no more!" A perfect song at the perfect time for one of the best films of the Nightmare franchise. Plus, how great is the video with scenes from Dream Warriors the film, interwoven with the members of Dokken?! It becomes ultimately clear that the only thing that can truly stop Freddy Krueger is the power of falsetto singing..."Maybe tonight, maybe tonight you'll be gone!" Take that Krueger!

But enough of this useless chit chat - lets get back to the dance party!!! Oh my God...is that Eric Nies?! Now this party is legit!
